Estee Lauder Doublewear Stay in Place Makeup

Many of you have probably heard of the Doublewear Stay in Place Foundation by Estee Lauder. It is one of Estee Lauder's best selling foundation and has become a staple in millions of makeup bags, my included!

This foundation is medium, buildable, has an SPF of 10 and provides a natural, semi-matte finish. This product claims to have 15 hour wear, wont change colour, smudge or transfer onto clothing and will stay fresh through nonstop activity, humidity and heat. All that seem too good to be true, right? I have been using this foundation now for a long time and I am perhaps on my third or fourth bottle of the stuff, and I can honestly say that most of these claims are true.

I apply this foundation using my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, and I tend to wear this foundation when I am going out on an evening and require flawless coverage. This foundation covers remarkably well and does stay put for a long time. Whether this foundation has a 15 hour wear is debatable, but it does last a long time on my oily skin. I have to set this foundation with a setting powder, as I feel that it just doesn't keep my skin shine free throughout the day. In terms of transferring onto clothing, I have never had issues with this. This foundation 'never' transfers onto my shirts, like some foundations annoyingly do when getting dressed!

I have the shade 3W1 Tawny in this foundation, but there are 31 shades to choose from, which is pretty amazing! The packaging I find is a little disappointing. Although it looks lovely, it is not very practical and I have a real issue with foundations that fail to come with pumps! In each bottle you get 30ml of product, which is typical for most foundations and this one is priced at £28.50. Not cheap, but worth the investment. 

This foundation is a great foundation for those who like a long wearing, medium to buildable foundation. It is oil-free, dermatologist-tested, fragrance free and Non-acnegenic, so is suitable for all skin types, even those with sensitive skin.

One of my all time favourite foundations, no questions asked.
