Clinique Chubby Sticks

Clinique Chubby Sticks

Today's post is about the notorious Chubby Sticks from Clinique. I have two shades, one is the original Chubby Stick and is in the shade Whoppin Watermelon and the other is a Chubby Stick Intense and is in the shade Roomiest Rose.

Clinque Chubby Sticks are super nourishing balms that provide the skin with a natural tint. They are loaded with mango and shea butter and are just what dry lips need to feel soft and smooth. The Chubby Sticks currently retail at £17.00, which is a little pricey, but they are lovely products.

Clinique have two different types of chubby sticks available, the original Chubby Stick and the newest addition, the Chubby Stick Intense. The difference between the two is basically the original chubby stick provides sheer coverage and is more of a tinted lip balm where as the chubby stick intense provides full coverage and gives the same colour payoff as a lipstick.

There are currently 16 shades in the original chubby stick range and 8 shades in the chubby stick intense range. The first chubby stick I purchased was in the shade Whoppin Watermelon. This shade is very sheer and natural looking on the lips. It is a pale pink shade that would suit all skintones, especially those with fair skin. If you are not a fan of sheer lipcolours then this probably isn't for you as it doesn't have great colour payoff and isnt really buildable. A lovely, everyday shade for those who love a nude, natural pink lip with moisturizing benefits.

The second shade I purchased, only quite recently is a chubby stick intense and is in the shade Roomiest Rose. The chubby stick intense provide full coverage, more like a lipstick and come in some really lovely bold shades. This shade is a darkened rose colour, with a hint of red and is lovely when I fancy wearing a bold lip. In comparison with the original chubby sticks, the intense formula definitely lasts alot longer on the lips. I don't have a shade in my lipstick collection like this one and I have been using this one alot over the winter months.

Overall, I think the chubby sticks are awesome. I must say, I much prefer the chubby stick intense, just because they have better colour payoff and last alot longer on the lips but the original chubby sticks would great for those who don't usually opt for bold shades and prefer something a little more natural and sheer.
