Kerastase Elixir Ultime For Damaged Hair

Kerastase Elixir Ultime For Damaged Hair

I thought I should dedicate a post to this amazing product I have came across this month from Kerastase. Now, if you have read any of my haircare posts, you will probably know I have colored hair and often get bleach highlights, which can be very drying and damaging on the hair. I am always looking for the next best conditioning serum that will reduce frizz and leave my hair looking and feeling strong yet smooth.

Whilst browsing online at http://www.lookfantastic.com I came across the Kerastase Elixir Ultime For Damaged Hair. This product is a oil type serum that can be used on wet or dry hair and leaves hair feeling deeply nourished.

This oil is £29.30 for 125ml, which is quite expensive I know, however you only need a 2-3 pumps so this should last a long while. This serum smells amazing on the hair, with strong notes of citrus it is very refreshing! This oil can also be used as a pre-cleanse and applied to hair before shampooing. I have been applying this product to wet hair and leaving my hair to air dry. Usually, if I leave my hair to air dry, it would be dry and frizzy, but with this product my hair is smooth and conditioned and only needs to be straightened a little with my hair straighteners.

Amazing product and I would highly recommend if you too have dry or damaged hair!!!!

KÉRASTASE CIMENT THERMIQUE

KÉRASTASE CIMENT THERMIQUE

I have been having bleach highlight in my hair now for nearly a year and for those of you that have had your hair colored or bleach you will know how this can take a toll on your hair. My hair had some breakage and so my hair stylist recommended the Ciment Thermique by Kerastase.

This product is £14.10 and is available from your selected salons or http://www.lookfantastic.com. Kerastase Ciment Thermique is the first heat-activated reconstructor milk for weakened hair. This product strengthens the hair fibres internally, smoothing the hair from root to tip. This product is specially developed to use with heat, so applying heat to the hair increases the effect of this product and allows this product to essentially do its magic! Since using this product, my hair i much more smoother and noticeably more stronger!

I apply a walnut sized amount of this product to my towel dried hair, concentrating on the ends and then blow dry. This product smells great and does not leave your hair feeling sticky and does not weigh the hair down. An amazing hair treatment and the improvement in my hair over the last few months as been impressive, and I owe it all to this product! Would definitely recommend.

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum

I don't often blog about haircare and what products I have tried and tested, but I am very much into haircare and always trying new products. One product I have tried and continue to use today is the Super Skinny Serum by Paul Mitchell. I first purchased this serum a few years ago, as recommended by my hairdresser and I have used ever since.

This serum is £17.95 for 150ml and is available from http://www.lookfantastic.com. Not the cheapest hair serum, I know, but this product does last a long time and in my opinion, worth every penny!

I have long hair, that is not quite straight but not quite curly, but definitely 'frizzy'. I could never let my hair air dry and be good to go, although that would be a dream come true for me. I have my hair colored regularly, which probably doesn't help things, but this serum has been my savior! You can use this serum on wet or dry hair and it smells divine!!

It is a lightweight serum, so wont weigh your hair down and leaves your hair soft, shiny and amazingly smoother! This serum penetrates deep into the hair shaft where it displaces water, greatly reducing drying time, which is a bonus for me! This serum is in a sleek, plastic bottle with a pump and 1-2 pumps is all you need to use!

Overall, an amazing hair serum. I have tried countless different hair serums and this is one that I go back to time and time again and will continue to do so until I find something that is better or even equally as good. A fantastic product and brilliant for anyone with frizzy, unruly hair like me!

L'ORÉAL PROFESSIONNEL SÉRIE EXPERT SILVER SHAMPOO

L'oreal Silver Shampoo

I have been using silver shampoos for quite some time now. For those of you who are not aware of what silver shampoo's are, they are shampoos designed to brighten and eliminate yellow/brassy tones from blonde hair. The shampoo is a purple colour, hence why they are also referred to as purple shampoos, and without getting too scientific, the purple tone in the shampoo helps eliminate yellow and brassy tones and making your blonde hair more vibrant and ashy.

I have tried a wide variety of silver shampoos and the best one I have tried and now use regularly is the L'OREAL Professionnel Serie Expert Shampoo. I purchase this shampoo from my local salon but you can also find it online at http://www.feelunique.com. This shampoo is £8.10 for 250ml, which isnt't too bad at all for a good quality shampoo.

I use this shampoo on my hair 1-2 times a week or when my blonde is looking a little dull. I have alot of blonde highlights in my hair and after a few weeks of getting them done, they can start to look a little but brassy colored but this shampoo instantly eliminates any brassy tones and makes my highlights more of a ashy blonde shade, which I love!

This shampoo is a very deep purple colour and I have found that the shampoos that are more purple (some are more lilac) are more concentrated and work much better. This shampoo really is fantastic. It is not a shampoo that you would use on your hair every day, but is a great shampoo to use 1-2 times a week to give your hair a pick me up.

L'Oréal Paris Hair Expertise EverPure Reinforcing Intense Mask

L'Oréal Paris Everpure Hair Mask

This hair mask by L'oreal has to be my most used and most loved hair product this year. I picked this hair mask up in late December and I have really been enjoying it. I usually opt for more high brands when it comes to hair masks, such as Redken and Paul Mitchell, but this one is equally as good and a fraction of the price.

This hair mask comes in a generous size tub and is just £5.95 for 200ml. I was looking for a reinforcing and strengthening hair mask as I have been experiencing some breakage due to coloring my hair and this one has improved my hair remarkably. This particular mask is suited for those with dry, over processed and colored hair and is enriched with rosemary and mint oils and is sulphate free. This product smells amazing and the scent lingers on my hair even the next day, which I love!

In terms of consistency, this is typical to most hair masks, in that it is thick and nourishing. I like to apply a walnut sized amount of this product to my hair, after washing, focusing on the lengths and ends, and I leave on for 5 minutes. Immediately after rinsing this product off I notice that my hair is much more softer, smoother, shinier and more manageable.

This product as restored my faith in low price hair care and this hair mask is definitely up their in my top 5 hair masks. Would definitely recommend this product and I will be trying more from the Everpure range in the future.
